St. Augustine High School dominates Bishop Kenny 39-0 in the 2016 Spring football game.

On Wednesday, May 18th, the St. Augustine High School Yellow Jackets football team faced off against the Bishop Kenny Crusaders (Jacksonville, FL) in the 2016 annual Spring football game.  The game finally got started after a 90 minute weather delay to some very wet field conditions.  The Jackets soon went to work scoring on two receiving touchdowns to Karim Brown and Emerson Kabus, and two rushing touchdowns by Jahquise Russell to take a 27-0 halftime lead.

Quarterback Austin Reed, #14, entered the game on the last drive of the second quarter and played through into the middle of the 4th quarter.  On Austin’s third possession of the game, he helped engineer a 60 yard, seven play scoring drive capped off with a 5 yard touchdown run by Sheddrick Washington.  During this drive, Austin threw 3 passes for 41 yards.  Sheddrick would later add another 39 yard touchdown run in the 4th quarter to increase the score to the final 39-0.  This was Head Coach Brian Braddock’s first win as the Yellow Jackets new head football coach for the program.
