The St. Augustine High School Yellow Jackets are on a roll into the playoffs:

It’s been quite a while since we’ve updated our Blog on the 2016 season for the St. Augustine High School Yellow Jackets varsity football team and junior quarterback Austin Reed, #14.  But as we head into week 10 of the FHSAA football season, the Jackets have produced a 7-1 record (3-0 District 4 6A).  With wins against Pedro Menendez, Creekside, Melbourne, Bartram Trail, Englewood, Ed White and Nease High Schools, the Jackets have outscored their opponents 296-64.  The Jackets defense is currently allowing a stingy 161 yards of offense per game (#5 overall in NE FLA), while the offense has respectfully gained an average of 379 yards per game (#9 overall).  The Jackets only loss on the season occurred for the first game in a very close 21-23 loss to Baker County HS (5A), currently 8-0.

St. Augustine High School Junior Quarterback Austin Reed, #14, has progressed well though the first 8 games of the season.  In addition to the quarterback responsibilities, Austin has served as the teams placeholder for field goals and extra points for kicker Elijah Ryan.  Check out some of the game photo’s and click HERE to se Austin’s mid-season highlights provided by
