Game 3 features Austin Reed at QB and MLB for first win for Sebastian Middle School Eagles
Game three of the season for Austin Reed and the Sebastian Middle School Eagles football team, held on September 13th, resulted in a 28 – 8 win over the cross-town rivals Gamble Rodgers Middles School Stingrays football team. Austin started at Quarterback on offense and inside Middle Linebacker on defense. At quarterback, Austin lead the offense on a series of time consuming drives feature running backs Montrell, Billy and Andre Robinson. Austin also connected with Andre Robinson on the last play of the second quarter on a 35 yard touchdown pass followed by a two point conversion to take a 16 – 0 lead in the game.
At Middle Linebacker, Austin helped the defense to record it’s first shutout of the season as Gamble Rodgers only score came on a punt return in the third quarter followed by a two point conversion. The final score of the game came on an interception return on the last play of the game by Andre Robinson. Austin finished the game as the winning quarterback going 1 – 2 (35 yards, 1 TD) on offense, and recording over 7 tackles as middle linebacker on defense.
